Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hinted, including the website at hintedgame.com and the Hinted mobile application (together, the “Service”), operated by DanielsApps (danielsapps.com) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You may create an account to save progress, track streaks, and access premium features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

Hinted offers a premium subscription (“Hinted Pass”) that unlocks additional features including the full puzzle archive, practice mode, leagues, and grace tokens.

• Pricing. Hinted Pass is available as a Monthly plan ($4.99/month) or Annual plan ($44.99/year). Prices may change with notice; existing subscription periods will honor the price at the time of purchase.
• Billing.Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Mobile subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store.
• Cancellation.You may cancel at any time. For web subscriptions, manage billing through Stripe’s customer portal. For iOS, manage subscriptions in Settings > Subscriptions. Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds.Web subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at hello@hintedgame.com. App Store purchases are subject to Apple’s refund policies.
• Lifetime passes. Founding members and promotional recipients may receive a non-transferable lifetime pass at our discretion.

The free version of the Hinted mobile app displays third-party advertisements provided by Google AdMob. By using the free version you acknowledge and agree that ads will be displayed during your use of the app.

• Ad-free experience. Hinted Pass subscribers do not see advertisements.
• Tracking.On iOS, we will ask for your permission to track activity across apps via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before serving personalized ads. You may decline and still use the Service; ads will be non-personalized.
• Ad content. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements. If you encounter an inappropriate ad, please report it to us at hello@hintedgame.com.

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Share puzzle answers publicly before the daily puzzle period ends.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.

All content, puzzles, branding, and code comprising the Service are owned by us or our licensors. You may share your personal results (e.g., score grids) but may not reproduce the puzzles, word lists, or other proprietary materials.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Active subscriptions should be cancelled before account deletion.
