Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Hinted (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects when you visit hintedgame.com or join the Hinted waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address. You provide this on the signup form.
  • Signup source. Which form on the page you used (hero or footer CTA), so we understand what's working.
  • Basic request metadata. Your IP address and browser user-agent, used for spam protection and aggregate analytics.
  • Timestamp. When you signed up.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on the landing page.

2. How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • Let you know when Hinted launches;
  • Send occasional, infrequent updates about the release (only if you've asked for them);
  • Protect the signup form from abuse;
  • Understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site.

We will never sell your email address or share it with advertisers.

3. Where your data lives

Signup data is stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase. Our site is served via Vercel. Both providers process limited request metadata (such as IP address) as service providers on our behalf.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, your record is removed from our active mailing list.

5. Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Unsubscribe using our unsubscribe page.
  • Request a copy of the data we have on you.
  • Request deletion of your data.

To make a rights request, email hello@hintedgame.com from the address you signed up with.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No online service can be 100% secure, but we take this seriously and will notify affected users promptly if a breach occurs.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
